Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Sai Teja Reddy, proprietor of Qoffee ("we", "our", "us") governing your use of the Qoffee mobile application, website at getqoffee.com, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

By installing, signing into, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Qoffee. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian has reviewed these Terms on your behalf.

2. The Service

Qoffee provides a daily reading and podcast experience curated by editorial AI. You can use a free tier that includes a limited number of stories per day and shows advertisements, or a paid subscription tier ("Qoffee Premium") that removes ads, unlocks unlimited reading, and may add other features over time.

Stories are AI-generated explainers, not breaking news. We make a reasonable effort to source from credible publishers and verify factual accuracy, but we do not guarantee the absolute accuracy or timeliness of any story. Use Qoffee as a starting point; consult primary sources for critical decisions.

We may add, remove, or change features at any time. We will give you reasonable notice of material changes that adversely affect your subscription.

3. Your account

You sign in with a Google account. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us at support@getqoffee.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Privacy → Delete account in the App, or at getqoffee.com/delete-account. We process deletions within 30 days. See the Privacy Policy for what we retain after deletion.

4. Subscriptions and payments

4.1 Plans

Qoffee Premium is offered as a monthly or annual auto-renewing subscription. Current pricing is shown in the App at the time of purchase and may vary by region.

4.2 Billing

Payments are processed by Google Play Billing through your Google Play account. Your subscription begins immediately on successful payment and renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel.

4.3 Free trial

If we offer a free trial, the trial begins on first purchase and converts to a paid subscription at the end of the trial period unless you cancel before the trial ends. Trial eligibility is per Google account; you may not be eligible if you have previously used a trial.

4.4 Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time through Google Play → Subscriptions or by following the link inside the Qoffee App at Settings → Premium → Manage subscription. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period; you will continue to have Premium access until then.

We do not offer pro-rated refunds for cancellations mid-period.

4.5 Refunds

Refunds for Google Play purchases are governed by Google's refund policy and processed by Google. We may, at our discretion, support a refund request for cases such as duplicate charges or accidental purchases — contact support@getqoffee.com within 7 days of the charge.

4.6 Price changes

We may change subscription prices. We will notify you at least 30 days in advance through the App or by email. If you do not agree to the new price, you can cancel before the change takes effect. Continued use after the change date constitutes acceptance of the new price.

6. Content and intellectual property

6.1 Our content

All content delivered through the Service — articles, audio, podcasts, illustrations, design system, code, and the Qoffee name and logo — is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. Personal, non-commercial reading and listening within the App is permitted; sharing single article links to friends is permitted; redistributing entire articles or audio outside the App is not.

6.2 Third-party content

Stories cite external publishers as primary sources. Cited links and quoted excerpts remain the property of those publishers and are used under fair-dealing provisions for commentary and explanation.

6.3 Your feedback

If you send us feedback, suggestions, or feature requests, we may use them without obligation to you. You retain no ownership of suggestions you share with us.

7. Referrals

If we offer a referral programme, the rules are described in the App at the time you participate. We may modify or terminate the referral programme at any time. Abuse of referrals (including self-referrals across accounts you control, or fraudulent invitations) results in forfeiture of any rewards earned.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of harmful components, or that any specific story or podcast will be available at any given time. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Stories are explainers, not financial, medical, legal, or other professional advice. Do not rely on Qoffee for decisions that require professional guidance.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) ₹2,000.

We are not liable for indirect, consequential, incidental, special, or punitive damages including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption.

Some jurisdictions do not allow exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability; those exclusions apply only to the extent permitted by your local law.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if we determine you have materially violated these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service.

On termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution — survive.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you in the App and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after the change takes effect constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Bangalore, India.

If you reside outside India, you may also have rights under your local consumer protection laws; nothing in these Terms limits those mandatory rights.
